§ Sir A. Bossomasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will circularise local authorities with the ad- 204W vice that where a new crematorium or large cemetery is required, the site should be chosen away from houses in close proximity and that the centre of rural villages should be avoided at all costs.
§ Mr. SandysThe siting of crematoria and cemeteries is regulated by Statute and is subject to important safeguards in the interests of residents in the locality. I am not satisfied that a circular to local authorities is necessary.
