§ Mr. GammansOn the Waxlow exchange, which is mainly concerned, there are 1,118 applications outstanding. More exchange equipment is being provided and a new cable will be laid next spring. We expect to double the rate of supply during the next 12 months, but while the present heavy demand for telephones continues, I cannot say when all applications will be met.
