§ LORD NATHANasked Her Majesty's Government when they will be in a position to make a statement on (a) Civil Defence, and (b) Home Defence in general.
§ LORD MANCROFTA comprehensive review of the plans for Home Defence, including Civil Defence, is being made on the lines indicated in theStatement on Defence, 1955 (Cmd. 9391). Her Majesty's Government will make a further statement as soon as one can usefully be made.
