§ Mr. J. StuartI regret that the information asked for is not available, but the Departmental Committee on the Supply of Teachers in Scotland, on the basis of an investigation for the years 1947–50, estimated that in the period 1952–57 the probable wastage rate for men would be 2.8 per 100 per annum and for women 4.8 per 100 per annum.
