§ 90. Mr. J. R. H. Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is now in a position to make a statement on results achieved from the setting up of an experimental helicopter squadron.
§ Mr. F. MacleanThe Joint Experimental Helicopter Unit has been in existence for less than four months, and it is too early to announce results. The training of pilots is, however, going well and such problems as the operation of helicopters in all conditions, the sort of ground organisation required, concealment and dispersion are now being studied. We plan that the Unit should carry out field trials in Germany next year.
