§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeAs regards trade considerations, the Association of British Chemical Manufacturers and the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry were consulted informally. As regards medical considerations, I consulted the Secretary of State for Scotland, the Minister of Health and the Government of Northern Ireland, and the necessary consultations took place with the statutory bodies set up to advise Ministers on medical matters, namely the Standing Medical Advisory Committee for England and Wales and the Scottish Standing Medical Advisory Committee.
