Mr. J. T. Hallasked the Minister of Health in view of his decision to transfer the Dunstan Hill Hospital to the appropriate regional board and management committee, whether he will place under the Gateshead and District Hospital Management Committee the hospital, in whose area it is, as they will be able to administer it economically and take up any surplus beds of which they have a great need.
Mr. Iainasked I appreciate the consideration the hon. Member has in mind; but I have asked the regional hospital board for their proposals for this purpose, and I must await them before coming to a decision.
