§ 91. Mr. Goochasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air if he has taken into consideration the amount of labour and materials which will be required by his Department to build 210 married quarters at the United States Air Force Base, Sculthorpe, Norfolk, for use by Americans and their families; and whether he is satisfied that this scheme will not adversely affect the provision of much-needed accommodation for British nationals in the area.
Mr. WardYes. In seeking tenders for the contract, we specified that the houses should make the minimum demand on traditional building materials and labour. I am advised that the scheme will not affect the local authority's housing plan.

Mr. Goochasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air to what extent the United States of America will meet the cost of the 210 married quarters which the Air Ministry propose to build at the United States Air Force Base, Sculthorpe, Norfolk, for the use of Americans and their families; and what is intended to be the duration of this scheme.
