§ Sir T. Mooreasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what information he has on the progress towards the political settlement in Laos which was required by the Geneva Agreements.
§ Mr. TurtonThe International Supervisory Commission in Laos has formally upheld the Royal Laotian Government's right to administer the provinces of Sam Neua and Phong Saly within which the communist Pathet Lao forces were regrouped. Talks between the Government and the Pathet Lao are now to be resumed and Her Majesty's Government trust that, in view of the International Commission's ruling, the Pathet Lao will cease to obstruct the return of the Royal administration and will permit the practical reunification of the country.
