§ Mr. R. A. ButlerGross domestic fixed capital formation in 1938, analysed by sectors of the economy in the same way as in Table 43, item 5, of "National12W Income and Expenditure, 1946 to 1953," is estimated to have been as follows:

The bodies classified as "Public corporations" in 1938 were the Central Electricity Board, the British Broadcasting Corporation, the Electricity Board for Northern Ireland, the London Passenger Transport Board, and the Scottish Special Housing Association.
