§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftConsumption of newsprint by magazines and periodicals together is estimated to have been 100,000 tons in 1939. In 1954, it was 80,300 tons. I regret that I am unable to show separate figures for magazines and periodicals, and that no figures are available for the consumption of paper other than newsprint by this group of users.
