HC Deb 24 February 1955 vol 537 c200W
Captain Kerby

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether, in view of the greatly increased numbers of people who buy postal orders and draw pensions in post offices throughout the country every week, he will take steps to re-organise as many post offices as possible, so that pensions, postal orders, money orders, and licences are no longer all issued from the same section of the public counters.

Mr. Gammans

The aim is to group the several classes of business at individual post offices in the way best suited to local needs and conditions. If my hon. and gallant Friend has in mind any office where difficulties have arisen and will let me have details I will gladly look into the matter.
