§ 66. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what action is being taken in respect of the attempts to defy the law and to frustrate the policy of Her Majesty's Government in Kenya.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI am aware of these attempts to prejudice the surrender offer. Police investigations are being made to identify individuals responsible for the production or distribution of the pamphlets in question. These, and any other similar pamphlets, have been proscribed under Emergency Regulations which also provide for penalties of up to two years imprisonment and/or a £500 fine for printing, publishing, or distributing any proscribed publication.
