§ Mr. Lennox-BoydAbout 600,000 persons have been moved. 150,000 huts, evacuated and stripped by their owners of usable material, have been destroyed, in some cases by fire, to deny their use to terrorists. The villages are built on clan land, and the inhabitants continue to cultivate their own original holdings. No land has been evacuated.
