HC Deb 21 February 1955 vol 537 c119W
Sir I. Fraser

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that some Army reservists who are not very likely to be called up are anxious to serve the country in the Royal Observer Corps; and if he will now arrange for the Royal Observer Corps to accept volunteers with Army Reserve obligations.

Mr. Ward

Yes. It has now been agreed between the War Office and ourselves that Army Reservists, but not volunteers in the Territorial Army, can be accepted for peace-time service in the Royal Observer Corps.
