§ Miss Hornsby-SmithEach local health authority is responsible for meeting the demands made upon its ambulance service in the most economical way: a costing return is published annually. Rules for the proper use of the service have been circulated to hospitals and general practitioners. Local advisory surveys by my right hon. Friend's officers have led to economies in some areas.
