§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe construction of two new deep water berths was begun in 1953 and the first is very near completion. Unfortunately screw piles were carried56W away from the second as a result of a slip in the sea-bed last December. I understand that work has been suspended until the cause of the mishap has been fully investigated. In addition, a new lighter-age wharf and two large storage sheds have been built and the Railways and Harbours Administration is acquiring new rolling stock as part of its general programme for expansion.
