asked the Assistant Postmaster-General how many telephones were installed in Belfast during the past three years; and how many applications for new telephones there are at present outstanding there.

Nine thousand two hundred and eighty telephones were connected during the past three years; 2,589 applications are at present outstanding, of which about a third are in course of being met or are under inquiry.
