106. Mr. Peter Freeman

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the numbers and values of monkeys of various kinds exported from British Colonies and Protectorates during each of the past five years, showing the Colony or Protectorate of origin and country of destination in each case; and the purpose for which these exports were made.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

Monkeys are not separately shown in the Trade returns, and I do not think that the cost of a special inquiry could be justified.
