58. Mr. K. Robinson

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he has yet approved in principle the British Transport Commission's plan for the modernisation and re-equipment of British Railways; and in what way priorities will be decided as between the various proposals contained therein.

59. Mr. C. Hughes

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will make a statement on the proposals for the modernisation and re-equipment of British Railways put forward to him by the British Transport Commission.

60. Mr. T. W. Jones

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will consult with the Home Secretary with a view to ensuring that the need for developing Welsh rail communications is taken into account before Government approval is given to the British Transport Commission's railway modernisation scheme.
