§ Sir D. EcclesI have received some 60 letters from branches of the National Union of Teachers. I have asked them to consider the arguments for the proposals in the Teachers' Superannuation Bill which I set out in my speech on the Second Reading on the 6th December. These proposals must, of course, be considered together as parts of a settlement of a financial problem of unique character.
