HC Deb 21 December 1955 vol 547 c347W
Commander Scott-Miller

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many tons of strawberry pulp are being permitted to enter this country from Bulgaria, Hungary, and Poland, respectively, for this year; and how the figures compare with the years 1953 and 1950.

Mr. Low

About 57 Ions of strawberry pulp has been licensed so far this year for import from Bulgaria, none from Hungary and about 980 tons from Poland. Complete information about the amounts licensed in 1950 and 1953 is not readily available, but 660 tons of pulp of a number of varieties, including strawberry, were licensed in 1953 for import from Poland against a quota of 750 tons.
