§ Mr. Walker-SmithResponsibility for the engineering and iron and steel industries was transferred to the Board of Trade on 18th July, with 247 staff who had been engaged on this work in the Ministry of Supply. As the figures show, this increase has been offset by a reduction elsewhere in the Board of Trade of sixty.
