§ 34. Mr. Hastingsasked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations whether his attention has been called to a report of an official Government committee in India asking all foreign embassies to respect national sentiment concerning the use of intoxicants and of their own volition to refrain from serving liquor at receptions to which Indian citizens are invited; and what direction has been issued to the British High Commissioner concerning the matter.
