HL Deb 13 December 1955 vol 195 c94WA
LORD CHORLEY

asked Her Majesty's Government whether they intend to adhere to the Draft Convention on International Sales of Goods which was approved by the International Law Conference at The Hague in October, 1951.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

I thought it right to refer this question to the Standing Committee on Private International Law under the chairmanship of Mr. Justice Wynn-Parry. In accordance with the Committee's advice Her Majesty's Government do not propose to become a party to the Convention in its present form.

House adjourned at twenty-seven minutes past seven o'clock.
