§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerAccording to information published by the Board of Trade 107,200 persons of British nationality left the United Kingdom by the direct sea routes for permanent settlement in Australia during the three-year period ended 30th June, 1955. Direct United Kingdom Government financial assistance towards migration from this country to Australia during the three financial years 1952–1955 totalled £731,777.
