§ Mr. Rankinasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will give a general direction to the British Transport Commission that valuable saleable property, presently used as stations, offices, etc., situated in the heart of large cities, be disposed of and the money invested partly in rebuilding stations in more convenient areas outside the city and partly used for carrying out other work, with a view to reducing the cost of running the railways.
