§ Mr. J. StuartThe total quantity of milk supplied under the Milk-in-Schools Scheme to school children during the month of June, 1955, the latest period for which information is available, was 638,357 gallons. Tenders were invited for all supplies except those for a few isolated schools. Fifty per cent. of the total supply was provided at a discount which varied from less than 1 per cent. to about 14 per cent. of the maximum retail prices.
