§ Mr. R. A. ButlerThe Pensions (Increase) Acts themselves do not apply to retired members of the Armed Forces, but their provisions, adapted as necessary, are extended to Forces pensioners by means of prerogative instruments. As I announced on Tuesday, 29th November, in reply to similar Questions on this subject, the measures which the Government have in mind will cover Forces pensioners, and when the Bill relating to civil pensioners has received the Royal Assent the Service Ministers will lay the appropriate instruments before Her Majesty the Queen.
