§ 73. Sir F. Markhamasked the Minister of Works if he will make immediate inquiries into the reasons for the lengthy delay in the conveyance to the Bletchley Urban District Council of Wilton Hall, Bletchley, which his Department agreed to sell in February, 1954.
§ Mr. BirchAfter formal agreement to the sale was reached in May, 1954, it was discovered that there were certain restrictive covenants affecting the land on which the hall is built. The Bletchley Urban District Council indicated, in September, 1954, that it was unwilling to accept the property subject to these covenants, and consideration has since been given to the best method of discharging them. In the meantime my Department has offered to let the hall to the council temporarily.
