§ Sir A. Bossomasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make arrangements to organise rook 17W shoots in the same way as the pigeon shoots at present approved by his Department.
Mr. AmoryCounty agricultural executive committees are instructed to organise shoots where rooks are numerous and are causing crop damage. The shoots are usually held in May, and cheap cartridges are available to those taking part. Unlike the wood pigeon, the rook can be trapped successfully, and advice on this method of control is given by county pests staffs.
