§ Sir J. Barlowasked the Minister of Fuel and Power to make a statement in regard to the valuation of interests transferred to the National Coal Board on 78W nationalisation; and when payment of compensation will be completed.
§ Mr. Joynson-HicksCompensation already issued is about 95 per cent. of the estimated total and most of the valuations still outstanding are subject to litigation. Administration expenses have been much reduced through closure of local offices and reductions of staff, and I hope that payment of compensation will be completed by the end of this year.
