HC Deb 04 April 1955 vol 539 c74W
72. Mr. J. Silverman

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the inadequate supply and quality of English cauliflower and cabbage due to abnormal weather conditions, he will take steps to reduce the tariff on imported cabbage and cauliflower in order to ensure a reasonable supply for the consumer.

Mr. Low

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which my right hon. Friend gave to the hon. Member for Sunderland, North (Mr. Wiley) on 31st March.
