§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe number of vacancies in the Colonial Service (including the Colonial Research Service), with the filling of which I am concerned, was 1,285 on the 31st May, 1954. The corresponding figure at the 30th September, 1954, was 1,278. This figure included 614 new vacancies declared between the two dates.
