§ Mr. Patrick Maitlandasked the President of the Board of Trade what plans he has for implementing the recommendations in paragraphs 225 and 226 of the Report of the Royal Commission on Scottish Affairs, that co-operation between the Board of Trade and the Scottish Home Department regarding 168W administration of the industrial estates and execution of the Distribution of Industry Act could and should be improved.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftBoth my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and I are satisfied that our respective Departments fully appreciate the importance of working in close cooperation on distribution of industry matters, and we intend that they should continue to do so.
