§ 76. Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to state the proposed increases in the fees of English secondary schools in Malaya as percentages of the present fees for each of the various forms.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydAs a result of a committee under the chairmanship of the Member for Education, two proposals are at present under consideration. One is for increases in school fees of 200 per cent. for the lowest forms, 300 per cent. for intermediate forms and 400 per cent. for the highest. The other is for increases of 60, 100 and 200 per cent., respectively.
