Mr. Simmons

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many local authorities have received redevelopment grants under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947, in each succeeding year since it came into force.

Following is the required information:

In some cases the grants include payments in respect of earlier years; and some local authorities have not yet made claims.

Mr. Simmons

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is prepared to sanction a redevelopment grant in respect of the Brierley Hill Urban District Council's scheme at Pensnett, which has been approved for inclusion in the Staffordshire County Council redevelopment plan.

Mr. Sandys

Grant may well be payable on this redevelopment scheme, but until formal proposals are submitted I cannot give any undertaking.
