Mr. G. H. R. Rogers

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will now authorise the commencement of the Notting Hill Gate, London, widening scheme.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

This scheme is estimated to cost about £1½ million and I cannot at present say when it will be possible to authorise it.
