HC Deb 10 November 1954 vol 532 cc132-3W
81. Mr. Warbey

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will discontinue payments to informers in British Guiana in view of the fact, disclosed in the Report of the British Guiana Constitutional Commission, that the information received from these sources is second-hand or even third-hand.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

No. It is the normal practice for police forces to use and reward informers.
