HC Deb 10 November 1954 vol 532 c140W
101. Captain Kerby

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what steps he proposes taking to refund their licence fees, paid to his Department, to those viewers in West Sussex who are now to be deprived of television reception through the removal of the Truleigh Hill booster station at Shoreham-by-Sea.

Mr. Gammans

My noble Friend understands that the British Broadcasting Corporation now proposes to continue the Truleigh Hill station in service for the present. A change of frequency will be required, however, involving small modifications to people's sets and, in some cases, to their aerials also.
