asked the President of the Board of Trade what consultations he has had with the National Finance Corporation about the maintenance of film production in the light of the Corporation's decision to appoint a receiver for the British Lion Film Corporation.

As I told the House on 1st June, 1954, the National Film Finance Corporation has recommended, and the Government have agreed, that a new company should be set up, to come under the complete control of the National Film Finance Corporation or of the Receiver in order to continue the film distribution functions of the British Lion Film Corporation.
