Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the estimated cost of the proposals for further security measures in the Civil Service.

Mr. R. A. Butler

The proposals will involve some small increase in the staff of investigators. The size of the increase has not been precisely determined and I cannot give any precise figure of cost, but it will be small.
