Mallalieuasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what consultations he has had with the French authorities about the study they are making of the possibility of constructing a gallery under the Channel for electric and telephone cables; and what communication has been made to the Channel Tunnel Company as to the possibility of incorporating in such a gallery their plans for a tunnel which would serve as a pilot tunnel for the cross-Channel traffic tunnel.
