§ Mr. Nicholsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the payments arrangements between the United Kingdom and Persia, which were envisaged in the statement issued in Tehran on 5th August, will be implemented now that the Persian Oil Agreement has been ratified.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerLetters were exchanged between H.M. Ambassador in Tehran and the Persian Government on 25th October providing for the payments arrangements to have effect from the date of ratification of the Oil Agreement. An Order required by the arrangements was laid on 30th October. The text of the exchange of letters will be published as a White Paper in a few days' time.
