asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works, as representing the Lord President of the Council, when he expects to receive the report of the inquiry undertaken by representatives of the Medical Research Council into the incidence of cadmium poisoning at a copper refinery at Prescot, Lancashire.

Mr. Bevins

A unit of the Medical Research Council has completed an investigation into the incidence of chronic cadmium poisoning and is now preparing a report. This will be made available to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance, and will be published as soon as possible in the medical Press.
