§ Mr. J. P. L. ThomasHitherto agreement workpeople in South Africa have been paid on a system by which weekly pay has been related to local wages. They have requested that their wages should be based on United Kingdom wages, plus foreign service allowance, according to the normal practice at other overseas stations. This has now been agreed and instructions are being issued to the naval authorities.
