(2) whether he is satisfied that employment is available for those whose jobs will disappear as the result of the closing of the Sunderland Food Office on 3rd July.
§ Mr. WatkinsonI can assure my hon. Friend that the employment exchanges and appointments offices of my Department will do their utmost to find further employment for all those that register, and in general no special difficulty is expected. At the Sunderland Food Office, where two men and four women will be redundant, the prospects of finding them other employment are reasonably good.
