§ Mr. H. StraussThere are 1,794 unfilled vacancies in Slough, which is an area of labour shortage. Detailed estimates are not available of the increased employment to be expected in the next two years, but the expansion of industry is expected to approximate to the growth of population, including newcomers to the area.
