§ Mr. Peter Smithersasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the danger which is likely to result to the British strawberry industry as a result of the delay in announcing the arrangements with regard to the tariff on fresh strawberries now under negotiation at Paris; and when he expects to be able to inform growers of the tariff conditions under which they will have to trade.
§ Mr. P. Thorneycroft:No. I do not consider that any delay which may have occurred is likely to cause damage to the strawberry industry. I hope to announce shortly the revised arrangements for this year's marketing season.
