Mr. Hannan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland for the figures of income and expenditure of the Teachers' Superannuation Account for each of the years 1949 to 1953 and other details in the same form as contained in Appendix Table 2 of the Report by the Government Actuary of 23rd February, 1951.

Figures of income and expenditure and other details as contained in Appendix, Table 2 of the Government Actuary's Report are given in the following table for the years 1949 and 1950. Details for the years 1951, 1952 and 1953 are not available, as the accounts for these years have not yet been completed, but estimates of the total income and expenditure, the balance at credit of the account, and the amount charged to the Exchequer are shown in the Table.
